The Saxons did a number on the Highlanders on Friday night with great defensive, offensive and special teams play.  Great effort from the entire team.  Ryan Murphy had a fantastic night rushing, his brother Mackenzie had a strong defensive effort with an interception and a fumble recovery for a touchdown!!

Caleb Rath had another solid performance rushing for 2 TD's and finding  Anthony Zackery for a 48 yard pass completion for a TD.  Ryan Murphy seemed to have his way on the field.  In the first two offensive possessions, Murph had rushed for nearly 85 yards scoring 1 TD and having a 65 yard rushing TD called back on a holding penalty.

Defensively, the Saxons played outstanding.  They forced two fumbles and had one interception.  They had the Highlanders at 4th and 1 in the 2nd quarter.  The Highlanders decided to go for it - bad decision.  The Saxons forced a fumble and Mackenzie Murphy picked it up and took it to the HOUSE!!!

There was never a question about who was in control of this game.  Nice job Ferris - keep it up as you head into next week with G-Prep (5-1) who lost this week to Central Valley by a score of 3-0.
