Game #9
Ferris vs.
West Valley
It was another
whooping put on by the Ferris Saxons. This
time the defense led the charge by forcing
seven turnovers - 4 fumbles recovered and 3
interceptions. They also kept the Eagles held
to MINUS 20 yards rushing. With continual
blitzing and pressure put on the Eagles quarterback,
they were able to keep the passing game in check as
well.
The offense benefited
from great field position and was able to put 35
points up on the scoreboard by the end of the first
half. Caleb Rath and Anthony Zackery
provided the bulk of the scoring for Ferris by
putting the ball in the endzone 5 times between the
two of them.
The playoff picture,
while not pretty, is still a possibility for the
Saxons. Not only do the Saxons need to beat
the Tigers on Thursday night, they need to have
Rogers beat Central Valley.
