Ferris continues
to take care of business
For the
first time in at least 8 years (maybe 10 or 11 we have been unable
to confirm,
anyone know for sure?)
Ferris beat Gonzaga Prep 33-10. It was the first loss for the
Bullpups on their new home field.
Ferris
beat the Bulldogs in convincing fashion. The Saxons had a
balanced offensive attack, rushing for nearly 200 yards and passing
for 174. In the first half, the Saxons made a huge defensive
stand inside the 5 yard line stopping Prep from scoring. At
the end of the second quarter with less than a minute to go, Ferris
drove over 70 yards and scored on a pass from QB Jeff Minnerly to WR
Jared Karstetter.
RB
Mckenzie Murphy had 2 TD's and 92 yards. This game also saw
the return of WR/S Shawn Stockton from his ankle injury. He
was primarily used on defense, however, did score on a 2 yard
touchdown run.
Next up
for the Saxons is the Mead Panthers who are 4-1.
