The Saxon Football team was just too much for the Highlanders as the Saxons scored 35 first half points on their way to a 49-7 victory. In a game that was over after the first quarter, the Saxon offense was able to move the ball at will and the defense smothered the Shadle Park offense.

The scoring started when the Saxons blocked a punt and recovered it in the endzone. Seven nothing before the offense had touched the ball. RB Nathan Tonani ran for 69 yards and had 3 touchdowns, two running and one receiving. RB Mckenzie Murphy and QB Jeff Minnerly each scored - Murphy ran for two and Minnerly threw for two. The Saxons led 35-0 at the half. In the second half after two quick scores, Coach Sharkey started subbing in players and got them some varsity experience.

The Saxons now head into the tough part of their schedule beginning with Gonzaga Prep next Friday night. After that its Mead, University and Central Valley.
