Bates and Co. Shine in win over Shadle Park

Jason Bates, along with the rest of the Saxons, had a huge offensive night against the overmatched and overpowered Shadle Park Highlanders.  In a game that the Saxons easily won, each player that suited up was able to get into the game and get some varsity action.   Bates lead the way with 196 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns.  Sophomore FB and DE Drew Sharkey also had a good night scoring 2 touchdowns.

The Saxons wasted little time in putting the game out of reach for the Highlanders.  They scored 21 points in the first quarter and were up 35-0 at half.  The Saxons defense smothered Shadle holding them to a mere 6 first downs and 112 yards of total offense.  The Saxons were able to generate over 550 yards of total offense and were almost split evenly in rushing and receiving yards.

OLD MAN MINN..... A special thanks to the students from the Leadership class with their help to collect money for the Andrew Swank fundraiser - a little over $750 was raised for the Swank family.... A nice comfortable win for the Saxons, however, now they need to focus in as they approach the final three games of there season.... This Friday night the boys play Central Valley who is currently undefeated in the GSL...  For a little more info on CV's season, click here....
